P160 NI

The P.160NI milling machine is a machining center designed mainly to automatically perform the welting operation on materials such as expanded rubber like EVA or microporous foam, cork, and wedges made of regenerated leather (SALPA) or masonite, working without the use of templates. The system translates into technological terms the cultural and productive heritage related to the shoe sole and allows the rapid and economical creation of sole models and all necessary components for sole construction. This machining center is equipped with a horizontal spindle carrying a 100 mm diameter cutter that performs the "welting" milling through the movement of the 3rd axis in a single operation, hollowing out the plantar surface material and making it perfectly anatomical. This system is essential for processing soles and wedges for trendy, technical, and orthopedic footwear. While the operator unloads and loads one table, the other is working; loading and unloading of soles is manual. The operator controls the entry of the newly loaded table into the work area even before the other has returned to the resting position, thus eliminating downtime. The correct positioning of soles on the table is set on the computer directly by the operator via a specific program, with the possibility to choose positioning using a mask (for soles with irregular support surfaces) or a V-shaped self-centering device with manual adjustment. The clamping of the soles to be milled on each workpiece table is ensured by an effective vacuum system generated by a powerful vacuum pump and a system of lateral clamps that secure the sole in the rear area. The operator can also choose to create masks made from PVC, bakelite, masonite, etc., which must be produced by the operator on another machine, while the V-shaped self-centering device is included. The machine is made of stabilized steel and all movements run on prismatic guides and preloaded recirculating ball slides; transmissions use precision recirculating ball screws driven by brushless motors. The dust extraction system, designed to suction machining scraps from the milling operation, is equipped with a suction mouth surrounding the cutter area. Scrap evacuation occurs through 70 mm and 110 mm diameter tubes which must be connected to the buyer company's suction system. The external control panel with keyboard and 15" color monitor allows the operator to control and manage the machine; the electrospindle work area is inaccessible during the work cycle in compliance with European regulations.
